Tayah hosts Fundraiser for Toys for Thailand

Tayah

Tayah, a 12 year old girl hosted a special Valentine's themed fundraiser raising funds for IHC - Toys for Thailand on February 6, 2010. Over 70 people attended the wine and chocolate tasting event and Tayah raised close to $6,000. The donation to Toys for Thailand will directly assist several hill tribe schools in the Mae Hong Son, Thailand. Tayah and her family, along with Toys for Thailand Co Directors Maria Miller and Sasha Bilar, will travel to Thailand in December 2010 and donate the following items: a rice husking machine, two pairs of stud pigs, 400 baby chicks, two tofu and soymilk machines, instructional supplies and gardening tools and seeds for three schools and a barber shop. The fundraiser was a wonderful success and Tayah hopes more donations will be sent in so she can provide one more rice husker to the Muser Nai School.
